Courcoury
Courcoury is a commune in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of southwestern France. It is located approximately 10 kilometers south-west of Saintes, the sub-prefecture of the arrondissement. The commune is part of the Canton of Thénac. Courcoury's inhabitants are known as Courcourais or Courcouraises. The primary economic activities in the area include agriculture, particularly viticulture for the production of Cognac, as well as some light industry and tourism related to the surrounding region. The village is known for its rural character and the surrounding countryside.
