Steve Taylor (American football)

Steve Taylor (born August 26, 1967) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL), World League of American Football (WLAF), and Canadian Football League (CFL).

Taylor played college football at the University of Nebraska, where he led the Cornhuskers to four consecutive bowl game appearances. He was known for his dual-threat ability, excelling as both a passer and a runner. During his time at Nebraska, he set several school records, including career passing yards and career rushing yards by a quarterback.

He was drafted by the Los Angeles Raiders in the fourth round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He spent one season with the Raiders as a backup quarterback.

In 1991, Taylor played for the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks of the World League of American Football (WLAF).

He then played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
