Mike O'Brien (actor)
Mike O'Brien (born October 24, 1976) is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work as a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 2009 to 2016.
O'Brien began his comedy career as a member of the improv and sketch comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB). He frequently performed at UCB theaters in New York and Los Angeles.
He joined Saturday Night Live as a writer in 2009 and was added to the cast as a featured player in 2013. During his time on SNL, he was known for his recurring characters, including "Mike from Corporate," and for his self-deprecating humor and musical sketches. He also frequently appeared in the "Weekend Update" segment.
Since leaving Saturday Night Live, O'Brien has continued to work as a writer and actor in television. He has written for shows such as AP Bio and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. He has also acted in shows such as Happy!, Shrill, and Los Espookys. In 2023, he created and starred in the Peacock comedy series American Auto.
