Conan (talk show)

Conan, also known as Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, is an American late-night talk show hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien. The show premiered on November 8, 2010, on TBS, following O'Brien's departure from The Tonight Show on NBC. It ran for eleven seasons and concluded on June 24, 2021.

The show featured a format typical of late-night talk shows, incorporating a monologue by O'Brien, followed by comedic sketches, celebrity interviews, and musical performances. The program was known for O'Brien's self-deprecating humor, absurdist sketches, and interactions with his co-host Andy Richter.

Conan distinguished itself from other late-night programs through its focus on remote segments, often featuring O'Brien traveling to international locations or engaging in unconventional activities. These remote segments became a hallmark of the show and were generally well-received by critics and audiences. Notable recurring segments included "Clueless Gamer," in which O'Brien reviewed video games despite his admitted lack of gaming experience, and travel segments to countries like Armenia, South Korea, and Italy.

Following the conclusion of the TBS show, O'Brien launched a podcast, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, and shifted his television focus to a weekly variety show on HBO Max titled Conan.
