The plot revolves around a wager between a group of men regarding the fidelity of their wives. One man, Dr. Fritz Lobheimer, confidently asserts that his wife, Susanne, is beyond reproach. The other men, skeptical, conspire to test her virtue. A series of humorous situations and mistaken identities ensue as they attempt to seduce Susanne, while she cleverly thwarts their advances, ultimately proving her chastity and winning the wager for her husband.
