A. T. Stewart (pilot boat)
The A. T. Stewart was a 19th-century New York Sandy Hook pilot boat, built in 1865 by the Jacob A. Westervelt & Co. shipyard. She was named after Alexander Turney Stewart, a wealthy Irish-born American businessman. The A. T. Stewart was known for her speed and seaworthiness, serving the New York Pilots for many years, guiding ships safely in and out of the harbor. She was eventually sold out of the pilot service and later lost at sea in 1892.
