Battleground (2015)

Battleground (2015) is a professional wrestling event produced by WWE. It took place on July 19, 2015, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. It was the third annual Battleground event. The event aired on pay-per-view (PPV) and the WWE Network.

The card featured matches that resulted from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portrayed heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches. Storylines played out on WWE's primary television programs, Raw and SmackDown.

Notable matches included Seth Rollins versus Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and John Cena versus Kevin Owens. The main event saw Rollins retain his championship due to interference from The Undertaker, setting up a SummerSlam match between Lesnar and The Undertaker.
