Sunkist (soft drink)

Sunkist is a brand of primarily orange-flavored soft drinks produced by Keurig Dr Pepper (formerly Dr Pepper Snapple Group) under license from Sunkist Growers, Incorporated.

The Sunkist brand name is used under license, allowing Keurig Dr Pepper to produce, distribute, and market the beverage while Sunkist Growers maintains control over the brand's reputation and association with citrus fruit.

Sunkist soda was originally developed in 1979 by Del Monte Corporation, and was acquired by Cadbury Schweppes (later Dr Pepper Snapple Group and subsequently Keurig Dr Pepper) in the 1980s.

While primarily known for its orange soda, the Sunkist line of beverages has also included other citrus flavors such as grape, lemon, strawberry, and pineapple.
