Office (band)

Office was an American indie rock band formed in Washington, D.C. in 2003. The band consisted of vocalist and guitarist Scott Windsor, guitarist Ben Smyth, bassist Pat McNulty, and drummer Joe Easley. Their music was characterized by its angular guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and sardonic lyrics, often drawing comparisons to bands like The Dismemberment Plan and Archers of Loaf.

Office released two full-length albums: (A Dove) in 2005 on spinART Records, and Q in 2007 on Planaria Records. Q was particularly well-received, garnering positive reviews for its complex arrangements and sharp songwriting. The band toured extensively throughout the United States, playing with acts such as Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and The Hold Steady.

Office disbanded in 2008. Following the breakup, members pursued various other musical projects. Scott Windsor went on to form the band The Effects with members of Q and Not U.
