Cardinal Newman High School (Santa Rosa, California)

Cardinal Newman High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school located in Santa Rosa, California, in Sonoma County. It operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Santa Rosa. The school's history dates back to the early 20th century with the establishment of Ursuline High School, an all-girls institution. The current co-educational school was formed in 1964 through the merger of Ursuline High School and St. Eugene's High School, an all-boys school.

Cardinal Newman offers a college preparatory curriculum for students in grades 9 through 12. The academic program includes a range of courses including Advanced Placement (AP) courses in various subjects. Extracurricular activities are offered in athletics, performing arts, student government, and various clubs.

The school's athletic teams, known as the Cardinals, compete in the North Bay League (NBL) of the CIF North Coast Section (NCS). A range of sports are offered including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, and track and field.

Cardinal Newman High School experienced significant damage due to the Tubbs Fire in October 2017, resulting in displacement and the use of temporary facilities. The school has since rebuilt and reopened its campus. The school is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
