Claigan
Claigan is a small settlement located on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. It is situated on the west coast of the Trotternish peninsula, north of Dunvegan. The primary feature of Claigan is its black coral beach, known locally as Coral Beach, which is actually composed of pulverized fossilized seaweed, giving it a bright white appearance. This beach attracts tourists and is a popular destination for walking and enjoying coastal scenery. The surrounding area is characterised by crofting land and rugged coastal landscapes. Access to Coral Beach involves a walk of approximately 30-40 minutes from a nearby car park. Claigan is a remote and relatively sparsely populated area, contributing to its unspoiled natural beauty.
