Juriques
Juriques refers to a stratovolcano located in the Andes Mountains, on the border between Chile and Argentina. It is part of the Central Volcanic Zone and reaches an elevation of approximately 5,704 meters (18,714 feet) above sea level. Juriques is notable for its well-preserved summit crater, which contains a crater lake. Volcanic activity is not well-documented historically, and it is considered to be either extinct or dormant. The surrounding terrain is arid and sparsely vegetated, typical of the high Andean plateau.
