Cymbals (British band)

Cymbals were a British indie pop band formed in London in 2012. The band consisted of Jack Medley (vocals, guitar), Dan Simons (drums), Luke McGregor (bass), and Olivia Hall (keyboards).

Their sound was characterized by jangly guitars, dreamy vocals, and a lo-fi aesthetic, often drawing comparisons to bands like The Smiths, The Cure, and early Real Estate.

Cymbals released their debut album, Sideways Sometimes, in 2014 on Tough Love Records. The album received positive reviews for its catchy melodies and introspective lyrics. They followed this with their second album, The Age of Fracture, in 2016, which saw them further develop their sound with more electronic elements.

The band toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, playing at various festivals and venues.

In 2017, Cymbals announced their disbandment, citing creative differences.
