Kyoto 3rd district (1928–1942)

The Kyoto 3rd district (京都府第3区, Kyōto-fu dai-san-ku) was an electoral district formerly used in elections for the House of Representatives in the Empire of Japan. Established in 1928, it existed until 1942. It was one of five multi-member districts within Kyoto Prefecture, electing multiple representatives under the single non-transferable vote system. The district encompassed a specific geographic area within Kyoto Prefecture, the precise boundaries of which would need further research to delineate completely. The dissolution of the district in 1942 occurred as part of a broader electoral reform during the wartime period, which saw the amalgamation of all electoral districts into a single national constituency under the Imperial Rule Assistance Association.
