1632 (novel)

1632 is an alternate history novel written by Eric Flint, published in 2000. It is the first book in the Ring of Fire series.

The premise of the novel is that a small town in West Virginia, Grantville, along with its surrounding landmass, is mysteriously transported back in time from the year 2000 to 1632 Thuringia, in the middle of the Thirty Years' War in Europe.
