Asan Bay
Asan Bay, also known as Hagatna Bay, is a bay located on the western coast of the island of Guam. It is historically significant as one of the landing sites for American forces during the 1944 Battle of Guam, which saw the liberation of the island from Japanese occupation during World War II. A portion of the bay and adjacent land is now part of the War in the Pacific National Historical Park, administered by the National Park Service. The bay is characterized by its relatively shallow waters and coral reefs. It is a popular location for recreational activities like swimming, snorkeling, and diving.
