Uroševina
Uroševina is a Serbian toponym. It is most often used as a historical or colloquial designation for an area encompassing, roughly, the territories south of the Šar Mountains and north of Skopje, centered around the cities of Uroševac/Ferizaj (Kosovo) and Kumanovo (North Macedonia). The name derives from Stefan Uroš V, the last ruler of the Nemanjić dynasty in Serbia. The term is associated with a historical sense of Serbian presence and heritage in the region. Usage can sometimes carry nationalistic or historical revisionist undertones depending on the context. It is less frequently used in contemporary formal contexts.
