Vaçe Zela

Vaçe Zela (1940 – 2014) was a prominent Albanian singer, widely regarded as one of the most important figures in Albanian popular music. She was born in Lushnjë, Albania. Zela began her career in the 1960s and gained significant recognition for her powerful vocals and emotionally resonant performances. She participated in numerous editions of the Festivali i Këngës, the national song contest of Albania, winning several times. Some of her most famous songs include "Valsi i Lumturisë," "Djaloshi dhe Shiu," and "Lemza." Her music often reflected themes of love, patriotism, and the Albanian experience.
