De Forest (crater)
De Forest is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the northwest of the larger crater Van de Graaff, and southeast of Birkhoff.
The crater is moderately eroded, with a somewhat irregular outer rim that is marked by several small craters. The interior floor is relatively level, with a cluster of small craters near the midpoint. A few other tiny craterlets lie across the floor.
De Forest is named after the American inventor Lee De Forest.
