USS Alcor
The USS Alcor has been the name of more than one ship in the United States Navy. Both ships were named after Alcor, a star in the constellation Ursa Major.

USS Alcor (AD-34): An Acubens-class destroyer tender commissioned in 1945 and decommissioned in 1970. She provided repair and maintenance services to destroyers and other naval vessels, primarily in the Pacific Fleet. She served in various capacities throughout the Cold War era.

USS Alcor (AK-259): A Crater-class cargo ship commissioned in 1944 and decommissioned in 1946. She transported cargo and supplies during World War II, primarily in the Pacific Theater. She was later transferred to the Maritime Commission.
