Zoidberg

Zoidberg, full name John A. Zoidberg, is a fictional character in the animated television series Futurama. He is a Decapodian, an alien crustacean resembling a lobster, and the staff doctor for Planet Express. Despite his medical title, Zoidberg's knowledge of human anatomy and medicine is severely lacking, and he is often depicted as incompetent and unsanitary.

Zoidberg is portrayed as a poor, friendless, and self-pitying creature who is generally disliked and marginalized by the other characters. He lives in poverty, often scavenging for food and shelter. He yearns for acceptance and friendship, but his eccentric behavior and offensive habits often push people away.

His defining characteristics include his rubbery body, his distinctive whooping laugh, and his tendency to eat anything remotely edible, including garbage and the contents of medical waste bins. He speaks with a Yiddish accent, further contributing to his comedic portrayal as an outsider.

Despite his flaws and social ineptitude, Zoidberg occasionally demonstrates surprising competence and loyalty to his friends, revealing a hidden depth beneath his comical exterior. He is a recurring and popular character in Futurama, providing much of the show's humor and pathos.
