Ty Cobb (attorney)
Ty Cobb is an American attorney best known for his role as a member of President Donald Trump's legal team during the Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States presidential election, led by Robert Mueller.
Cobb graduated from Harvard Law School and spent much of his career at the law firm Hogan Lovells, specializing in white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations. He has experience working with high-profile clients and corporations facing government scrutiny.
As part of Trump's legal team, Cobb primarily focused on managing the White House's response to the Mueller investigation. His role involved coordinating with the Special Counsel's office, advising the President on legal strategy, and overseeing the production of documents and witness interviews. Cobb's approach was reportedly geared towards cooperation and transparency with the investigation.
Cobb departed the White House legal team in May 2018. Following his departure, he has occasionally provided commentary on legal and political matters, often related to the ongoing investigations and legal challenges faced by former President Trump.
