Entrapta
Entrapta is a fictional character from the animated television series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, a reboot of the 1980s series She-Ra: Princess of Power. Within the show, Entrapta is a princess of Dryl and a brilliant but eccentric inventor and scientist. She is known for her purple hair, which she uses as prehensile limbs, and her enthusiasm for technology, experimentation, and data collection, sometimes to the point of disregarding ethical considerations.
Entrapta begins the series as a Princess of Bright Moon, allied with the Rebellion against the Horde. However, due to miscommunication and a perceived lack of appreciation for her contributions, she eventually joins the Horde, finding a more receptive environment for her scientific pursuits. Her time with the Horde is marked by significant technological advancements that bolster their war efforts.
A central aspect of Entrapta's character is her focus on logic and data over emotional connection. This often leads to her being perceived as detached or uncaring, although she does form strong, if unconventional, bonds with characters like Hordak. Her character arc involves grappling with the consequences of her actions and learning to value the well-being of others alongside scientific discovery.
Entrapta's skills include engineering, robotics, programming, and analysis. She excels at reverse-engineering alien technologies and adapting them for new purposes. Her inventions play a significant role in the plot of the series, influencing both the Horde's and the Rebellion's capabilities.
