Josef Fuchs (cyclist)

Josef Fuchs (born 13 January 1948) is a former Swiss professional cyclist. He was a professional from 1973 to 1986.

Fuchs is best known for his successes in one-day classics and stage races. His most notable victory was winning the 1981 Liège–Bastogne–Liège, one of the five "Monuments" of cycling.

Other significant achievements in his career include:

  • Winning the Tour de Suisse in 1973
  • Finishing second in the 1976 Giro d'Italia
