Dholera
Dholera is a planned city located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is being developed as a greenfield industrial city as part of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project. The project aims to create a global manufacturing and investment hub with state-of-the-art infrastructure and sustainable urban development practices.
The Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a large-scale development area spanning approximately 920 square kilometers, within which Dholera city is being constructed. It is envisioned as a self-governed economic region with its own legal and regulatory framework.
Key features and objectives of Dholera include:
- Industrial Hub: Attracting manufacturing industries across various sectors, including electronics, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and heavy engineering.
- Smart City Features: Implementing smart technologies for efficient resource management, transportation, communication, and security.

The development of Dholera is being undertaken by the Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) jointly owned by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. The project is currently under development and is expected to become a major industrial and urban center in the coming years.
