Peter Butler (footballer, born 1966)

Peter Butler (born 3 August 1966) is an English football manager and former professional footballer.

As a player, Butler was a midfielder. He played for numerous clubs in England and abroad, including Halifax Town, Grimsby Town, Southend United, Cambridge United, Notts County, West Ham United, Reading, Gillingham, Barnsley, Swindon Town, Rochdale, Ferencváros (Hungary), Chester City, and Boston United.

Butler began his managerial career with Boston United as a player-manager. Following his time at Boston United, he managed Halifax Town.

He has subsequently managed in Asia and Africa. Managerial positions include coaching stints with clubs and national teams such as: Myanmar national football team, Kenya's AFC Leopards, Persiba Balikpapan (Indonesia), Terengganu FA (Malaysia), Platinum Stars (South Africa), and currently, he is the head coach of Liberia national football team.
