Takuma Nishimura (footballer)

Takuma Nishimura (西村 拓真, Nishimura Takuma, born October 22, 1996) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a forward.

Career

Nishimura began his professional career with Vegalta Sendai in the J1 League, joining the club in 2015. He established himself as a regular player, contributing to the team's attacking efforts. In August 2018, he transferred to CSKA Moscow in the Russian Premier League. He struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in Russia. After his time in Russia, he returned to Japan.

Nishimura rejoined Vegalta Sendai on loan in 2019. In 2020, he transferred to Cerezo Osaka. In 2023 he transferred to Yokohama F. Marinos.

International Career

Nishimura has represented Japan at the youth international level. He has also been called up to the senior national team.

Nishimura is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and ability to score goals. He is a versatile forward who can play in various attacking positions.
