John Thomson (bishop)
John Thomson (died 1460) was a Scottish prelate of the 15th century. He served as Bishop of Ross from 1441 until his death in 1460. Very little is known about his early life or career before becoming Bishop. His episcopate was marked by involvement in land disputes and ecclesiastical administration within the Diocese of Ross. Records show he granted confirmations of charters and participated in synods. He is believed to have been buried in Fortrose Cathedral. His successor as Bishop of Ross was Thomas Tulloch.
