Joe Cole
Joe Cole (born Joseph John Cole on November 8, 1981) is an English former professional footballer. A versatile attacking midfielder capable of playing in various positions, including winger and attacking midfielder, Cole was known for his dribbling skills, technical ability, and creativity.
He began his professional career with West Ham United, where he rose through the youth ranks and became a key player. Following West Ham's relegation, he transferred to Chelsea in 2003, where he enjoyed significant success, winning three Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and a League Cup.
After leaving Chelsea, Cole played for Liverpool, Lille (in France), West Ham United (again, on loan), Aston Villa (on loan), Coventry City (on loan), and Tampa Bay Rowdies (in the United States).
Internationally, Joe Cole represented England at various youth levels before making his senior debut in 2001. He earned 56 caps for the England national team, scoring 10 goals. He participated in three FIFA World Cups (2002, 2006, and 2010) and one UEFA European Championship (2004).
Following his retirement from professional football in 2018, Cole has worked as a pundit and coach.
