Fabinho (footballer, born 1991)

Fabinho, Fábio Henrique Tavares (born 1993), commonly known as Fabinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or right-back for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Professional League.

Born in Campinas, São Paulo, Fabinho began his professional career at Fluminense, before spending time on loan at Real Madrid Castilla. He subsequently joined Monaco, initially on loan before signing permanently, and was a key member of their Ligue 1 title-winning team in 2016–17.

In May 2018, Fabinho signed for Liverpool. During his time at Liverpool, he won the UEFA Champions League in 2019, the Premier League in 2019–20, the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, the UEFA Super Cup in 2019, the FA Cup in 2021-22, and the EFL Cup in 2021-22.

Fabinho made his senior debut for Brazil in 2015 and has represented his country at the Copa América. Known for his tactical awareness, tackling ability, and passing range, he is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders of his generation. In August 2023, Fabinho signed for Al-Ittihad.
