Kampos (Thrace)

Kampos (Greek: Κάμπος) is a village in the municipality of Arriana, in the Xanthi regional unit of Thrace, Greece. It is located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Xanthi, in a primarily agricultural area. Historically, the area has been inhabited by a mixture of populations, including Greeks, Pomaks (Bulgarian Muslims), and Roma. The local economy is largely based on farming, with tobacco, grain, and other crops being cultivated. Kampos is a relatively small settlement, and its infrastructure is typical of rural villages in the region.
