Plainfield (CDP), Vermont

Plainfield is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Washington County, Vermont, United States. The CDP encompasses the central village area of the town of Plainfield. As of the 2020 census, the population of the Plainfield CDP was 422.

The CDP is situated along the Winooski River and Vermont Route 2. It serves as the commercial and residential center for the surrounding rural areas of the town. Goddard College, a historically progressive liberal arts college, is located just outside the CDP boundaries, contributing to the village's distinctive character.
