Vakıflar (İzmir Metro)

Vakıflar is a station on the İzmir Metro's Line 5, currently under construction. It will serve the Vakıflar area within the Bornova district of İzmir, Turkey. When completed, the station will be located underground. It is part of the Üçyol-Çamlıkule extension project, aiming to significantly extend the reach of the İzmir Metro further east. The station's name derives from the "Vakıflar" neighborhood it will serve, likely referencing the historical presence or significance of waqf (Islamic charitable endowment) properties in the area. Its opening date is yet to be announced.
