Treaty of Paris (band)

Treaty of Paris was an American rock band formed in Martinsburg, West Virginia, in 2006. The band consisted of brothers Andrew (vocals, guitar) and Dan Cook (drums), Ben Rector (guitar, keyboards), and Geoffrey Houser (bass).

Known for their blend of pop-rock and alternative rock, Treaty of Paris gained popularity through touring and online presence. Their music featured catchy melodies and introspective lyrics, drawing comparisons to bands such as Coldplay and The Fray.

The band released several EPs and one full-length album, titled "Horeshoes & Hand Grenades," which was released in 2011. Prior to the album, they released the EPs Treaty of Paris, These Hands, and Short Walks.

In 2012, Treaty of Paris announced their amicable breakup, citing individual creative aspirations as the reason for their disbandment. The members have since pursued other musical projects. While their time as a band was relatively short, Treaty of Paris left a notable mark on the independent music scene, particularly within their region.
