Edane (band)

Edane is an Indonesian heavy metal and hard rock band formed in Jakarta in 1991. The band is considered one of the pioneers and most influential acts in the Indonesian metal scene.

History:

Edane was formed by guitarist Eet Sjahranie after his departure from the band God Bless. The band's initial lineup consisted of Eet Sjahranie on guitar, Ecky Lamoh on vocals, Iwan Xaverius on bass, and Fajar Satritama on drums. Their music is characterized by a blend of heavy metal, hard rock, blues, and progressive elements.

Edane quickly gained recognition with the release of their self-titled debut album, Edane, in 1992. The album featured hits such as "Evolusi," "Ikuti," and "Kau Pikir Kaulah Segalanya."

Throughout their career, Edane has experienced several lineup changes, with Eet Sjahranie remaining the only constant member. Despite these changes, the band has continued to release albums and perform live, maintaining a dedicated fanbase.

Notable albums include Jabrik (1994), Geger Otak (1996), 9299 (1999), Edane III (2005), and Edane IV (2010). Each album showcased the band's evolving sound and commitment to pushing the boundaries of Indonesian metal.
