Madocite

Madocite is a trade name for a type of engineered stone or quartz surfacing material used primarily for countertops, vanities, and other architectural applications. It is composed of a mixture of natural quartz crystals, resin binders, and pigments. The specific proportions of these components can vary depending on the manufacturer, but generally, quartz comprises a large percentage of the material, often exceeding 90%.

Madocite, like other quartz surfacing products, is valued for its durability, non-porous nature, and aesthetic versatility. The combination of natural quartz and resin creates a surface that is resistant to scratching, staining, and heat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas like kitchens. The non-porous quality also prevents the growth of bacteria and mold, contributing to a hygienic surface.

The manufacturing process involves combining the quartz aggregate with resins and pigments, then compacting the mixture under intense pressure and heat. This process creates a solid slab that can be fabricated into various shapes and sizes.
