Tommy Brown (footballer, born 1897)

Tommy Brown (born 1897, date of death unknown) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an outside right.

Brown began his career with local junior clubs before joining Scottish League side Dumbarton in 1920. He made a significant impact in his first season, scoring several goals. He continued to be a regular in the Dumbarton team for a further two seasons.

In 1923, Brown transferred to English club Wigan Borough, then playing in the Football League Third Division North. He quickly established himself as a key player for Wigan, known for his speed and crossing ability. He played for Wigan until the club folded in 1931.
