Tommy Brown (footballer, born 1897)

Tommy Brown (born 1897, date of death unknown) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an outside right.

Brown began his career with local junior clubs before joining Scottish League side Dumbarton in 1920. He made a significant impact in his first season, scoring several goals. He continued to be a regular in the Dumbarton team for a further two seasons.

In 1923, Brown transferred to English club Wigan Borough, then playing in the Football League Third Division North. He quickly established himself as a key player for Wigan, known for his speed and crossing ability. He played for Wigan until the club folded in 1931.

Following the demise of Wigan Borough, Brown's career path is uncertain. There is limited information available about his playing career after leaving Wigan. His date and place of death are currently unknown.
