Ben Dixon (Australian rules footballer)
Ben Dixon (born 27 April 1976) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Dixon was a key forward, known for his strong marking ability and accurate goal kicking. He was drafted by Hawthorn with pick number 30 in the 1994 AFL Draft. He made his AFL debut in 1997 and quickly established himself in the Hawthorn forward line.
Dixon played 203 games for Hawthorn from 1997 to 2006, kicking 549 goals. He was Hawthorn's leading goalkicker in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2003. He also represented Victoria in State of Origin matches.
Following his retirement from AFL football, Dixon has worked as a media commentator for various networks including Fox Footy. He is known for his outspoken and often controversial opinions on the game.
