Arrien

Arrien was a Greek historian, military commander, and philosopher of the 2nd century AD, born in Nicomedia (modern İzmit, Turkey). He is best known for his writings on Alexander the Great, particularly his Anabasis of Alexander, which is considered one of the most reliable accounts of Alexander's campaigns.

Arrien's Anabasis meticulously details Alexander's military campaigns and expeditions, drawing heavily on primary sources, notably the writings of Alexander's companions Ptolemy and Aristobulus.
