Andrés Mora

Andrés Mora (born April 17, 1955, in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico; died April 12, 2015, in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico) was a Mexican professional baseball player. Primarily a third baseman, Mora played the majority of his career in the Mexican League (LMB). He is considered one of the greatest hitters in Mexican baseball history.

Mora debuted in the Mexican League in 1974 with the Cafeteros de Córdoba. He went on to play for several teams, including the Acereros de Monclova, Piratas de Campeche, and Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo. He was known for his powerful bat and consistent offensive production.

Mora won multiple batting titles and home run crowns in the Mexican League. He holds several LMB records, including most career home runs (469). He also represented Mexico in international competitions.

Following his playing career, Mora remained involved in baseball as a coach and manager. He was inducted into the Mexican Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. He is remembered as a legendary figure in Mexican baseball.
