Georgette LeBlanc (poet)

Georgette LeBlanc (born in Moncton, New Brunswick) is a Canadian poet, translator, and Acadian activist. She writes primarily in Chiac, a variety of Acadian French that incorporates elements of English. Her work often explores themes of identity, language, displacement, and the Acadian experience, particularly within the context of colonization and historical trauma.

LeBlanc is known for her innovative use of language and form, pushing the boundaries of traditional Acadian poetry. Her collections often weave together personal narratives, historical references, and linguistic experimentation.
