Tim Finn
Tim Finn (born Brian Timothy Finn, 25 June 1952) is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as a founding member of the band Split Enz, which he formed in 1972 with Phil Judd. He was a key songwriter and vocalist for the band, contributing significantly to their distinctive sound and image.
Following the breakup of Split Enz in 1984, Finn embarked on a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums and singles. His solo work often explores more personal and introspective themes than his work with Split Enz.
In addition to his solo and band work, Finn has also collaborated with his younger brother, Neil Finn, on several projects, including the Finn Brothers duo. Together they have released several albums and toured extensively.
Finn has also composed music for film and theatre, including the score for the Australian film The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey. His contributions to music have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, solidifying his place as a significant figure in New Zealand and Australian music history. He continues to write and perform, maintaining a presence in the music industry.
