The Informer (2019 film)

The Informer is a 2019 British crime thriller film directed by Andrea Di Stefano, and written by Matt Cook, Rowan Joffé, and Di Stefano, based on the 2009 novel Three Seconds by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström.

The film stars Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Common, Ana de Armas, and Clive Owen. The plot follows Pete Koslow (Kinnaman), an ex-convict working undercover for the FBI to infiltrate the Polish mafia's drug trade in New York City. When a deal goes wrong and an undercover NYPD officer is killed, Koslow is forced to return to prison to protect his family and maintain his cover. He must navigate the dangerous world of prison life while trying to expose corruption within the system and prove his innocence.

The film was released in the United Kingdom on August 30, 2019, and in the United States on January 10, 2020. It received mixed reviews from critics.
