The 1% Club (American game show)

The 1% Club (American game show) is an American adaptation of the British game show of the same name, created by Magnum Media and distributed by BBC Studios. The show tests contestants' logic and general knowledge with questions designed to reflect the intelligence level of the British population, gauged by opinion polls.

Format:

Nine contestants begin the game, each with $1,000. They face a series of increasingly difficult questions designed to be answerable by an increasingly small percentage of the population. Each question is associated with a percentage, ranging from questions that 90% of the population are expected to answer correctly, down to questions that only 1% are expected to answer correctly.

Contestants have 30 seconds to answer each question. If a contestant answers incorrectly, or fails to answer, they are eliminated and their money is added to the prize pot.

The "Pass" Button:

Each contestant has one "pass" button they can use at any point during the game. Using the pass allows them to skip the current question without penalty.

Final Round:

After all questions up to the 1% question are asked, the remaining contestants attempt the 1% question. A correct answer wins them a share of the prize pot. If no one answers the 1% question correctly, each remaining contestant gets their initial $1,000 back.

Key Differences from the UK Version:

While largely faithful to the original UK format, some differences may exist in question selection, prize money structure, or aspects of the set design or presentation. These details are subject to change with each season.
