Tezpur
Tezpur is a city and the administrative headquarters of the Sonitpur district in the state of Assam, India. Located on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River, it is one of the oldest cities in Assam and is known for its rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and scenic beauty.
Historically, Tezpur was known as Sonitpur, the city of blood, and is associated with the legend of Usha and Aniruddha.
