Rataje (Kroměříž District)

Rataje is a municipality and village in the Kroměříž District, in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 7.07 square kilometers (2.73 sq mi), and as of 2023, it had a population of approximately 1,189. Rataje lies approximately 11 kilometers (7 mi) east of Kroměříž, 13 kilometers (8 mi) north-west of Zlín, and 241 kilometers (150 mi) east of Prague. The village is situated in the foothills of the Hostýn-Vsetín Mountains. Its economy is primarily agricultural, although some residents commute to nearby cities for work.
