Sanyati
Sanyati is a district located in Mashonaland West Province, Zimbabwe. It is known primarily as a farming area, producing crops such as maize, cotton, and tobacco. The district's economy is largely based on agriculture.
Sanyati is also the name of a river in Zimbabwe, a tributary of the Zambezi River. The Sanyati River flows generally northwards, forming part of the boundary between Mashonaland West and Midlands provinces.
The district headquarters is also called Sanyati. The area has a relatively sparse population compared to other parts of Zimbabwe.
Historically, the area has been inhabited by various Shona groups. The name "Sanyati" is believed to have Shona origins, although the precise meaning is debated.
