Ross Ryan

Ross Ryan (born in Gloucester, England) is an Australian singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known for his folk-pop songs of the 1970s, particularly "I Am Pegasus," which became a major hit in Australia in 1973. Ryan's music often incorporated elements of satire and social commentary.

Following the success of "I Am Pegasus," Ryan released several other albums and singles throughout the 1970s. Some of his other notable songs include "Blue Chevrolet Ballerina" and "Orphanage." He was a popular live performer during this period.

While his commercial success waned somewhat in later years, Ryan continued to write and perform music. He also pursued other interests, including writing and lecturing. His influence on Australian music is recognised, and his early songs remain popular on classic hits radio stations. He remains an active member of the Australian music community.
