Robert Maloney (baseball)

Robert Maloney is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played briefly in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1986. Maloney was drafted by the Pirates in the 16th round of the 1982 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut on September 2, 1986, and appeared in a total of 4 games for the Pirates that season, pitching 6 innings. His professional baseball career spanned from 1982 to 1988, primarily in the minor leagues within the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals organizations. After his playing career, he has been involved in coaching youth baseball.
