Niafunké

Niafunké is a small town and commune in the Tombouctou Region of Mali, located on the banks of the Niger River. It is situated approximately 150 kilometers southwest of Timbuktu.

Niafunké is known for being the birthplace and hometown of the renowned Malian musician Ali Farka Touré, a Grammy Award-winning guitarist and singer.
